Recycling: Hubside.Store launches a new edition of the Change Together operation

Hubside.Store encourages the French to recycle their multimedia devices by organising the Change Together operation for the second consecutive year in partnership with the eco-organisation Ecologic for the benefit of the Ateliers du Bocage and Emmaüs Connect.

Following on from the programme launched in 2021 to encourage the recycling of multimedia equipment, Hubside.Store is renewing its Change Together operation in 2022, which will take place in several stages throughout the year. Organised in partnership with the eco-organisation Ecologic for the benefit of Ateliers du Bocage and Emmaus Connect. Change Together is a collection and recycling operation aimed at highlighting the circular economy while supporting a charity project for the benefit of digital inclusion.

The principle is simple: consumers find urns installed at the entrance of Hubside.Store shops to drop off their used devices (smartphones, tablets, batteries, accessories, etc.). The collected items are entrusted to the Ateliers du Bocage, which are in charge of sorting them, repairing them and deleting the data of the former owners. Those that can still be used are sold at a fair price in the Emmaus "Bootiques", while the others are entrusted to Ecologic, which is responsible for recycling them.

In exchange for their donations, customers receive a €15 voucher for each device they drop off, to be used on reconditioned devices or accessories on sale at Hubside.Store. For its part, the company donates €10 per device to the Emmaus organisation in order to support training projects aimed at reducing social and digital exclusion.

The Change Together operations are scheduled in 2022 from 15 January to 15 February, from 18 March to 22 April, from 5 June to 3 July, and a final event should take place at the end of the year. Change Together is a perfect continuation of the Hubside.Store concept, which features refurbished products in its shops and also offers its own repair and recycling service, making it a key player in the circular economy in France.

Hubside.Store started its franchise development in 2020 and already has more than 100 locations in France. The network aims to have 500 points of sale in Europe within two years.
